I am moved by the story of Ashley Smith and her experience with murder suspect Brian Nichols in Atlanta, GA. <br>
<br>
Fox News has a very good account of what happened titled <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,150323,00.html">Courthouse Shootings Hostage 'Levelheaded'</a>. <br>
<br>
This is a miraculous story of God's providence. Smith's words to Nichols put it best. <br>
<br>
"You're here in my apartment for some reason," she told him, saying he might be destined to be caught and to spread the word of God to fellow prisoners. She told him his escape from authorities had been a "miracle." <br>
<br>
Ashley fed Nichols; they watched TV together; she told him what he did was wrong and she read the Bible to the him and they talked about God. <br>
<br>
As I watched Ashley's interviews on TV I knew that she spoke to Brian Nichols from true Christian love - the love of God and His son Jesus. <br>
<br>
Most commentators didn't talk about the spiritual side of this or about God's role in this. They just missed it. I didn't.<br>
