Israel Planning Strike On Iranian Nuclear Plant
by Dan Riehl

The UK's Sunday Times - Times Online is reporting that Sharon's inner cabinet has given “initial authorisation” to strike Iran's nuclear facilities by air and ground should negotiations fail.
This comes on the heels of Iran's most recent rejection of the offer of economic incentives including membership in the World Trade Organization and access to much needed airplane parts in return for an agreement limiting their nuclear activities. Europe is also pledging to support America in elevating the issue to the UN Security Council if a negotiated agreement is not reached.
That announcement yesterday and this story breaking today is likely part of a message being sent to Iran that the world is not ready for a Nuclear Iran, and at least some are very serious about preventing it.
Israel previously attacked Iraq's growing nuclear initiative in June of 1981, vowing at the time that they would not permit any enemy to develop a nuclear capability. While that attack was condemned by many, privately many nation's were relieved to see a growing threat to world peace dealt with in a definitive manner.
Aljazeera reported back in February that such a plan was already jointly completed by Israel and the United States. Their report cited only anonymous Eurpopean Commission "experts" as a source for their report.
Experts from the U.S. Defense Department, the Pentagon and Israel have put final touches to a plan to launch a military strike targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, experts at the European Commission based in Brussels, revealed on Sunday.
