We provide a number of writing, illustrating and editing services. The prices given are an estimate; some projects will be more expensive, and others will be less. We can provide a solid estimate of what a particular project will cost if we are given a sample of the material to be worked with. Many clients ask us for per-page pricing. However, the amount of work required for nearly all writing projects depends on the total word count involved; page count is generally a function of typography, layout and formatting. Accordingly, we charge by the word for most projects.

Editing Services

Comprehensive proofreading and copy-editing:     $0.01 per word
Formatting and layout:     $0.01 per word
Complete rewrite :     $0.04 per word

Editing is done to your specifications in a professional and thorough manner. Editing charges may vary for manuscripts of exceptionally high or low quality.

Web Article Writing/Web Content

Total Project Size of 10,000 words or less: $0.06 per word
Total Project Size of 50,000 words or less: $0.05 per word
Total Project Size of 50,001 words or more: $0.04 per word
A typical web article is perhaps 400-500 words in length.

Articles are thoroughly researched, written in an informative and engaging style, and are 100% original work.

Book Writing Services

E-Book Quality (elementary research, well-written, unlimited specific revisions): $0.05 per word
Printed Book Quality (comprehensive research, well-written, unlimited specific revisions): $0.10 per word

We offer a 20% discount for selected books if we are credited as the author of the work. The amount we charge for ghostwriting does vary considerably depending upon the topic and upon the quantity and quality of research we must conduct to finish the project. Please contact us with details of your book project to get an exact rate.

Illustration

Varies widely depending on the amount of time an illustration will take; generally $25 and up per illustration.

Other Projects

For other types of projects, our general fee is $50 per hour. Those are working hours, time spent actually at a library or at a computer doing the necessary work. We don't bill in lawyer-time.

Project fees are negotiable, depending upon the subject matter, research time required, amount of editorial oversight needed, etc. We will do our best to find a solution that lets our work fit within your budget.

Payment Policies

We are happy to accept PayPal, checks, money orders, e-gold, and credit card transactions. For new clients, we require at least a 50% deposit on a project before beginning work. For repeat clients there is never a deposit.
